Did you know that a study has shown that sugar makes absolutely no difference to children's behaviour, and that it is us parents that simply imagine its impact on our children? I saw it on the Channel 4 news. Not sure if I believe it though. I might Google it and write a blog on it!
I think its more the additives that she can't handle than the sugar because it definitely makes a difference to both her behaviour and then her sleep, to the point that she can't have medicines with colourings in them.
Motherhood, the mother of all journeys, begins in West Yorkshire and ends knackered, contented, clinging to a large G&T who knows where; I usually find the funny along the way. Mother to 2 small loud people aged 5 and 6. Stepmother to a beautiful teenager. Wife to a handsome husband. Frequent excerciser (of one smelly dog.)
I'm trying not to lose my marbles.
I am aware that I have already mislaid some of them ... one is stuck under the sofa, one in the Lego box and the 4 year old may have inadvertently swallowed the other.

I have seen that look both in my children AND in the mirror!
I like that. She's kind of got that Jack Nicholson as The Joker thing going on.
:^) Anna
Ha! That looks oddly familiar. I think I've seen the same expression on a few little people here.
We get that look too - but it's usually from a child climbing the curtains or hanging off a light fitting. My kids don't handle sugar very well!
