Sniffing and Squeezing The Fruit and Vegetables

I had a rare opportunity to visit the supermarket after work last week, on the way to pick up the children from Auntie K's.

I don't often go to the supermarket and use online shopping. Less stressful but fairly boring as I end up ordering the same stuff every week.

I revelled in wandering round sniffing and squeezing the fruit and vegetables, looking at all the new products and committing them to memory for my next online shop.

I am an avid people watcher. In fact, avid doesn't quite cover it ... I LOVE watching people ... their behaviour, interaction, foibles, habits.

I wandered with my trolley and watched the frazzled lady with her three children hanging off the trolley arguing over a Fruit Shoot; The man with his meal for one and beer perusing the condom and lubricants shelf; The old couple looking at stain removers.

Old Lady - Pointing "Is it the same as that one?"

Old Man - "I don't know I haven't brought my reading glasses, I can't see what it says"

Old Lady - In loud whisper "Does it remove large areas of blood?"

The Old Man looked at his wife in horror and then at me, at which point I scurried off to peruse the cake aisle and see what else the 'meal for one man' had put in his basket.

Arsenic and Old Lace! LOL, it can be a real hoot observing others! Hmmmmm, so what else did the 'meal for one' man put into his shopping cart?

I love 'people' observations.
I'm one of the worlds great people watchers too.
Everyone is so different, even when wearing the same thing.

Good grief. You may well have stumbled across the world's oldest serial killer. Scary stuff.

I so love to people watch. Gaston made me laugh - one of my favorite movies!

I also love to go grocery shopping. I never pass up a chance to go. I'm weird like that.

Ha ha. That's great. Reminds me of the old couple in Dirty Dancing...the little ones who steal the purses!

Loved this! I have often thought about getting the supermarket to deliver, there's only one that will deliver to me as I live so far out in the sticks! But I do like the laughs one often gets at the store.

Stop the online shopping. OK it's convenient and time saving and oh, so sensible but look what you're missing??

I love it. I love thinking I've got a bargain when I BOGOF (even though I know I haven't!) and I love looking in the trolleys of good looking blokes and working out if they're single or not!! Sorry, was that a step too far .....

I had no idea we shopped in the same places - that may well have been me with the fruit-shoot arguing kids... ;)
