Just bouncing ... the whole time.
He particularly likes to sit on the toilet whilst I shower. Sometimes he'll pull up the step he uses to brush his teeth at the sink and sit right next to the shower door.
Just ... sitting ... being as one ... as I wash my hair.
Sometimes I have to draw smiley faces in the steam on the shower door, more for my own amusement than his.
Next week (did I tell you I'm going to Walt Disney World, Florida?) I will relish my audience free showers ...
Then, towards the end of my week away I will miss wiping the steam away and seeing this

This so reminds me of when my oldest was very young, she hung wtih me constantly, sitting outside the bathroom door, etc. I used to say she had the longest umbilical cord in the world! She's 47 today, and it's still there and I love it.
I hate being away from my 3-y-o & her big brother. Even one night. I have to go on business trips sometimes, but I avoid as many as possible. If I was anywhere like WD World, I would be wishing that the kids were there too...
Little boys love their mommies. My friend once said to me, "My daughter loves me, but my son would crawl back inside me, if he could."
You're going without him?!
When my son bought his first flat I told him that I was coming straight around to bounce on HIS bed and write on HIS wall!
Before you know it he'll be all grown up, so enjoy every second of this time,
GG
Aww, but you do kind of ( I am only saying kind of) miss it when they dont even want to sit and watch telly with you though :) fortunately I still have some littlies to cling on to me. Enjoy your trip luv Karen x
I know exactly what you mean, my two year old sits on my dressing table behind my make up mirror and passes me the things I need. A bit like a nurse would for a surgeon in an operating theatre. He loves it, particularly when I need the lip balm, which he likes to apply liberally!
You have fun at Disney World now, where all your dreams come true!! Make sure you do the spider man ride.
Your three year old sits still for you while you shower? Lucky!
lol! i have 3little ones following me everywhere round the house, i can't even use the toilet in peace! I always say i'm like a mother hen walking around with my chicks following me! x
My kids have always let me have my space in the bathroom, they know they can have my attention the rest of the day, but when I get up, I need 10 mins to myself to get it together and face the day! Enjoy walt disney, looking forward to hearing all about it.
Sometimes I go to the bathroom, just to have a bit of head space, there's always a tap at the door..."Mum" "hmmmm" "Are you there?" "No" "You are I can hear you; are you having private time?" "Yes" "Listen to this, it's funny" (or a variation on that theme). "Just give me two minutes please" pause "has it been two minutes yet?" My daughter has finally let me go to the loo in peace, my son, I think, never will...
My 15 month old likes to put his hands in the toilet when I'm showering just to get me to come out all dripping wet and tell him 'no' for the 1000000 time! ;) I then hand him my makeup and/or box of tampons and let him have his fun. Hey, safer then toilet water, right?
My 3.5 year old does his own thing. He's very independent!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog, by the way!
